Trail clean up

Up until a few years ago, people living in the villages on the pilgrimage trails did not know what litters are.  Everything they disposed naturally recycled through the environment.  However, the influx of tourism brought in large quantity of trash including non-degradable plastics.  And yet there hasn't been an infra-structure to deal with the trash.

We will work together with the local merchants, drivers and hostel owners who are conscious about this problem on starting an anti-litter campaign.  We will employ culturally sensitive strategies to educate tourists and villagers about the impact of litters on their environment and economy.  We will also collaborate with Puli Tibetan School on installing trash baskets and anti-litter signs along the trail on inner pilgrimage circle.

This project will be in collaboration with Migratory Bird Cafe in Dechin.
