Conversational English Tutoring

Each year, more and more people come to Dechin to see Mount Kawa Karpo or trek the pilgrimage circle.  Among these people, a large fraction of them are westerners.  To local drivers, hostel owners and merchants, the language barriers start to pose as a great challenge. Even though some of they know a few English words, they are usually too shy to communicate with a westerner customer in English.  

Travelers on our Mount Kawa Karpo Trekking tours will spend two nights with local people and provide English tutoring. As we dedicate our time in these tutoring sessions to interact them, this experience will help them ease some stress when interacting with westerners in future.  In turn, you might also take this opportunity to pick up a few Tibetans and Chinese phrases. 

Mystic Trails will prepare curriculum and teaching materials.
